The Maharaja's Tour
Delhi, Varanasi, Khajuraho, Agra and Rajasthan (15 days)

You値l begin in India痴 capital Delhi. Here you値l stay at the Oberoi or at the Taj Mahal Hotel. On your first morning in Delhi, you値l visit old Delhi and tour some of India痴 landmarks including the Red Fort, the Jama Masjid, Chandni Chowk market and the Raj Ghat. In the afternoon you値l visit New Delhi and see the Qutab Minar, Humayan痴 Tomb and the renowned government buildings. The following day you値l fly to  Varanasi, the oldest living city in the world and one of India痴 most sacred. On arrival you値l visit the old city and take a boat out on the holy Ganges River to watch a mesmerizing religious ceremony. You値l stay at the Taj Ganges and the next day you値l tour some of Varanasi痴 important Hindu temples and visit Saranath, where Buddha gave his first sermon in 500 B.C. From Varanasi You値l head to Khajuraho, home to an extraordinary complex of ninth and tenth century temples each a monument to a different deity and all a testament to Hinduism痴 love of life. You値l have the day to explore the temples and in the evening you値l see an excellent sound and light show. Here you値l stay at the Taj Chandela.
From Khajuraho, you値l fly to Agra, where you値l stay at the Agra Vilas or the Taj View. In Agra you値l visit the Agra Fort, the Taj Mahal and Itmad-Ud-Daulah痴 Tomb. From Agra, you値l head to Jaipur; en route you値l visit Amber, the City Palace, the Jantar Mahtar ancient observatory, and the city痴 market. From Jaipur, you値l fly to Udaipur and stay at the Udai Vilas or at the Trident Hilton. In Udaipur, you値l visit the City Palace, the Crystal Gallery, the Sahelion Ki Bari, and the Folk Art Museum and take a walking tour of the old city.
From Udalpur you値l fly to Jodhpur and drive to the great desert fort and legendary trading center Jaisalmer. Here you値l stay at the Rajwada or the Rawalkot. You値l tour the Golden Fort and the exquisite havelis, the mansions of the wealthy traders. You値l also see the oasis of Gadsisar Sagar, visit the desert town of Khuri and watch the sun set into the desert. The next day you値l drive back to Jodhpur, another of Rajasthan痴 epic fort towns. Here you値l stay at the Umaid Bhawan Palace or the Taj Hari Mahal and you値l visit the Mehrangarh Fort, the museum, and the cities bazaars. On your last day, you値l return to Delhi for your flight home.

 The tour price includes roundtrip airfare from Los Angeles on Singapore Airlines, domestic flights, hotel accommodations, breakfasts, private chauffeur-driven transport, sightseeing as noted with private guide services, meet and assist at all hotels, airports and railway stations.
