A Nation Reborn Vietnam Royale ![]() Ho Chi Minh City, Danang, Hue, Hanoi (7 days) This tour follows the itinerary of A Tale of Two Cities for its first three days. Then, on day four, you’ll depart Ho Chi Minh City for Danang (also known as Hoi An), at one time an important trading port connecting Asia and the West. Here you’ll stay at the Furama Resort or the Victoria Hotel. Take a walking tour on Danang’s narrow cobblestone streets, visiting former merchants’ houses; Phue Kien Pagoda; the 400-year old Japanese Covered Bridge and the colourful bazaar. Museum, housing a collection of third century artefacts from the Champa
Kingdom; the Marble Mountains; and the stone-carving village of Non Noue.On day five you’ll drive across the spectacular Hai Van Pass to Hue, stopping en route for lunch at the Lang Co Beach Resort. Hue, founded as a royal city in 1687, is the gateway to Vietnam’s royal past and was a major center of Vietnamese culture, religion and education. You’ll
visit the Imperial Citadel and the Forbidden City, and, if time permits, the
royal tombs of King Tu Due and the Khai Dinh Mausoleums, designed with
temples, pavilions, and gardens.The next day you’ll take a boat on the Perfume River to the Thien Mu Pagoda and then fly to Hanoi. From there, the tour picks up the itinerary of A Tale of Two Cities again.
