Thailand You'll fly from Los Angeles to Bangkok via Singapore. You'll stay in a deluxe room at the Four Seasons Bangkok, a luxurious hotel with beautifully landscaped gardens or in a deluxe river-view room at the Peninsular Bangkok, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River. In Bangkok, you'll visit the most sacred of all Thai monuments, the Grand Palace, and see the the Emerald Buddha, a masterpiece carved from a single piece of translucent jade, the Reclining Buddha and the Golden Buddha. You may also choose to visit the beautiful former home of silk magnate Jim Thompson, where you can learn more about and purchase exquisite silks.
After three nights in Bangkok, you'll fly to Chiang Mai, where you'll stay at the Four Seasons Chiang Mai, an oasis set in gardens surrounded by lily ponds, lakes and terraced rice fields. At the Four Seasons you'll stay in a spacious Garden Pavilion Suite decorated with Thai fabrics and antiques. At the hotel, enjoy delicious Thai delicacies or unwind in the spa with a Thai massage. In Chiang Mai, you'll tour an elephant camp, take a trek on an elephant's back, float down a river on a bamboo raft, and explore Chiang Mai's celebrated Night Bazaar.
